Evergreen boughs that fill our homes
With fragrant Christmas scents,
Hearts filled with the loving glow
That Christmas represents;
Christmas cookies, turkeys stuffed,
Festive holly berry,
Little faces bright with joy,
Loved ones being merry;
Parties, songs, beribboned gifts,
Silver bells that tinkle,
Christmas trees and ornaments,
Colorful lights that twinkle;
Relatives waiting with open arms
To smile and hug and kiss us;
These are some of the special joys
That come along with Christmas.

Mrs. Mesnick this poem is wonderful. A line in this poem reminds me of something and the line is Christmas cookies, turkeys stuffed. What it reminds me of is when my mom bakes cookies but she does not make turkeys stuffed only for Thanksgiving. This poem is fantastic. my favorite line in this poem is Christmas trees and ornaments and the second one is parties, songs. The reason why these are my favorite is because i love parties and songs and because my mom and my brother where putting the ortaments on the Christmas tree
ReplyDeletethe poem is very discriptive about all the smells and sights on Christmas. Mrs.Mesnick if you wre the one who typed this poem up, but it says tinkled. i'm not sure if you wanted it that way. i think you wanted to spell twinkled. sorry if its my mistake if i'm reading wrong. i think it really exspresses what the whole Christmas season and fun is about. i hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! say hi to your family for me ,

ReplyDeleteWell, poem was good, but I don't really celebrate Christmas. On the fourteenth line, that was very cooperative. It kinda reminded that I make songs,too. I make at least 20 songs like "All About Me", Believe Me" and "Jubilant" and that's what reminds. Maybe you'll let me share my songs(Those our my songs, though, however it's NOT Christmas songs!) On the line, what it says "To smile and hug and kiss. But I have a simile for the Christmas poem..... the Christmas tree is green as the grass. Well, if you guys anything to share with me, just go write a comment or a question about that simile, okay?
Tierra and Joy, you guys are so nice. I love your comment, Tierra and Joy, great job!
